SIMBA: Spiritually Invested Money for Business Acceleration

SIMBA Ventures is more than a funding program; it's a holistic ecosystem for growth. Our model combines faith, business acumen, and community to create lasting change.

Empowering Faith-Driven Entrepreneurs in East Africa

SIMBA Ventures is a transformative business empowerment program that pools micro-investments ($100 (≈Ksh 12,900) - $200 (≈Ksh 25,800)) to fund and mentor pre-qualified business and agricultural innovators in Kenya and Uganda. We believe in unleashing God-given potential to create sustainable abundance, breaking cycles of poverty, and building a legacy of faith and entrepreneurship.

The Challenge: Breaking Barriers to Abundance

In many parts of East Africa, potential is stifled by fear, economic hardship, and systemic challenges. We work with individuals and families who are ready to rise above these circumstances but lack the resources and support to begin.

Our Solution: A Spirit-Led Model for Sustainable Change

SIMBA Ventures is more than a funding program; it's a holistic ecosystem for growth. Our model combines faith, business acumen, and community to create lasting change.

1. Rigorous Training & Vetting:

Our candidates are not randomly selected. They are dedicated volunteer Pastor-Coordinators who have already completed our foundational The Warrior and The Priest curricula—often over two years of training. This ensures they are spiritually and character-wise prepared for the responsibility.

2. Spirit-Led Investment:

We pool micro-gifts from donors ("Grantors") in the West to create a venture fund. This seed capital—typically $100 (≈Ksh 12,900)—is a powerful catalyst for a start-up, small business, or entrepreneurial farm.

3. The "Pay-It-Forward" Principle:

Instead of charging interest, which can create debt cycles, our Grantees pledge to pay forward 10% of their profits. This reinvestment fuels the cycle of transformation, funding the next generation of entrepreneurs in their nation. It’s stewardship in action.

The SIMBA impact: Stories of transformation

From inmate to innovator: Nicholas's story

After six years in prison, Nicholas Okiru found hope and mentorship through our programs in Busia Prison. He converted to Christianity, completed the Warrior course, and was miraculously released. Reunited with his wife, Sylvia, he received a SIMBA Ventures grant. Today, they are business partners, building a prosperous future for their family and leading their community to Christ.

Alex Achuti (L) Start-up Coach, stands next to Nicholas Ukuru, an ex-Moslem convert to Jesus, and Silvia his wife and kids, all of whom he led to the Lord.

Building a legacy: Wycliffe's egg business

Wycliffe Mudavadi, with a SIMBA grant and help from his son, launched a thriving free-range egg business. His coup now generates a sustainable income of about $12 per week (≈Ksh 1,548), providing for his family and creating local employment.
