There is a kind of faith that doesn't bend. It doesn't shrink when the timeline stretches longer than expected. It doesn't shrivel under bad news. It doesn't fold when the crowd shakes its head and says, "It's not going to happen for you." That kind of faith is unwavering — and it's the kind of faith God is calling us to today.
The Example of Abraham's Unwavering Faith
Scripture tells us that Abraham had this kind of faith. Against all hope, he hoped on in faith when the promise of a son seemed physically, biologically, humanly impossible. He was old. Sarah was old. The math didn't work. The odds were against him. And yet Abraham held on to what God had spoken.
That's the picture of unwavering faith: believing what God said over what your circumstances are showing you.
Faith Means Having a Made-Up Mind
Here's the truth — when God puts something in your heart, no one is going to talk you out of it. Not the setbacks. Not the delays. Not the negative chatter of people who don't believe in you or your dream. You're not moved by what's not happening yet, and you're certainly not moved by how long it's taking.
You have made up your mind. You believe God is in control, and you believe that what He promised will come to pass. No person can stop Him. No bad break can stop Him. No delay can stop Him. No sickness, and not even the forces of darkness, can keep you from the destiny God has for you.
"I Still Believe": Taking Your Faith One Step Further
Believing is one thing. But unwavering faith takes it further. It's not enough to have believed once, in a moment of excitement or emotion. Unwavering faith says, "I still believe."
- Despite the medical report — I still believe.
- Despite the bad break — I still believe.
- Despite how impossible it looks right now — I still believe.
That kind of stubborn, settled faith is what moves heaven. When you believe despite what you see, you position yourself to see God do unusual, uncommon things. Miracles are set in motion. Angels go to work on your behalf. And God takes you places you could never have gotten to on your own.
Let This Be Your Declaration
Faith isn't the absence of hard seasons — it's the decision to keep trusting God through them. If you're in a season of waiting, don't let go of what God has spoken over your life. Keep believing. Keep declaring it. Keep thanking Him for what's already on the way, even before you see it.
Prayer for Today
"Father, thank You that You are my God, and that's reason enough to never waver in believing Your promises. Thank You that my faith can grow stronger through this. I am going to keep believing, keep praising, and thanking You for what's on the way. In Jesus' Name, Amen."
