The Weight of Fruit Over Numbers

In the Beatitudes, Jesus taught that a person is “known” (and justly measured) by their fruit (Matt 7:16). However, the fruit referenced in the New Testament—such as the Fruit of the Spirit, integrity, godly values, loyalty to God, and keeping one’s word (even when costly)—is faith-based and qualitative, not quantitative.

“After 40 years of pastoral ministry, it has become my full conviction that God does not count Believers—He weighs them.”

– Dr. Jerry Cook

Stewardship Over Sentiment

While for-profit and nonprofit enterprises are judged by quantitative metrics, U.S. supporters are increasingly prioritizing stewardship over emotional appeals (e.g., images of sick children or suffering animals). To us, stewardship means:

  • Treating God’s funds as sacred, investing wisely for long-term yields.
  • Aligning with God’s eternal perspective by balancing time, quality, and sustainability.
  • Rejecting short-term fixes in favor of repeatable processes that “pave ahead three generations into the future.”

Our Six Guiding Principles

  1. Divine Alignment Over Human Effort
We strive to be “slaves” of God—no more, no less—releasing His Word and Spirit rather than relying on human strategies that yield minimal results.
  2. Indigenous Ownership
Transformation must be owned and operated by local believers. If they cannot sustain it, we consider it a waste of resources.
  3. Strategic Foresight
We balance immediate action with long-term vision, piloting initiatives in Kenya (2013) and the U.S. (2019) through our “3-Headed Spear” strategy.
  4. Kingdom Expansion
We aggressively pursue the growth of God’s Kingdom in every context.
  5. God’s Preference for the Few
Scripture shows God often works through the few (Gideon’s 300, the 1 lost sheep). We celebrate when He defies human expectations!
  6. Spirit-Led Efficiency
While we measure progress and employ best practices, we rely on the Holy Spirit to open doors and guide timing. Remarkably, He moves faster and cheaper than we ever imagined.

Transformation in Action

“The Core 300 training caused me to see my wife for the first time. Jesus took away my rage… and a desire grew to serve and protect her. She is a happy lady now.”

– Rev. Wycliffe Modavadi, Director-Volunteer PBL

Measurable Results, Divine Fingerprints

In a metrics-driven world, we acknowledge the need for accountability. Our “Results” spreadsheet (see above right) reveals staggering outcomes—especially given our modest $100,000 annual budget. We credit this to God’s hand at work.

Sustainable Discipleship in East Africa

Nothing “sticks” in East Africa unless locally owned. We reject “one-and-done” mission trips, opting instead for long-term discipleship:

  • A 3-year curriculum and mentorship (“Timothy”) system.
  • Equipping pastors, government workers, and inmates to catalyze authentic national transformation.

As Jesus modeled with the 12 disciples, we invest deeply in people—even when progress feels slow. The result? A movement owned by Kenyans, for Kenyans, under God’s unshakable authority.
